Family-owned and run Coopers of Stortford has appointed MCG to deliver a media relations brief, driving awareness of the retailer and its product range through the national consumer press.

Coopers of Stortford provides a comprehensive range of tried and tested home, kitchen and garden solutions, largely through its website and catalogue business. Having seen significant sales spikes driven by ad hoc coverage in the consumer press, Coopers was keen to augment its existing in-house marketing functions and drive awareness and sales through a more sustained media relations campaign.

“We’re always looking at ways to reach new audiences and drive sales and the national consumer press was an underused channel for us,” said Head of Creative and Customer Communications Daniel Martin. “We were looking for a partner who could work closely with us to provide strategic support, identifying the opportunities and delivering solid return on investment.”
